Dickens Faire Boothies?

Hello all,

I am hoping that there will be someone on this list doing Dickens, who is looking for employees. I have two cute well mannered young ladies (16 and 17) who are looking for work, so that they can afford to do Dickens.

They may want to check out working at a games booth. They are always looking for help.

I'm not sure if any of the actual vendors from Dickens are in this tribe. (Aside from Qatana, that is. And I think she's an 'ex-vendor'... )

They *might* check with the Telegraph Office. They are always looking for delivery help, but usually boys work best. I don't suppose the girls can do calligraphy?

The *best* thing for them to do is to go to workshops, and then check around to see who needs people.

But Vendors don't go to workshops. Since workshops were moved away from the Cow Palace it is almost impossible to network like we do at faire when everything is in the same place.
There "should" be a job board somewhere in the Cow Palace but I've never seen one at workshops. They might want to finish all required classes and then go to the Cow Palace and talk to people as they are bulding.

So Hey, Booth Workers- if your both needs help. please post it here (get your booth owners permission first please)
And,no, neither I nor Wheat Goddesses will be vendong this year.

If they are looking for free admittance and comp tickets to boot they could do the front gate. It doesn't pay any money but it offers lots of practice at interacting with patrons, speech and will give them a chance to check out the fair. For each 4 hour shift they would reciece two comp tickets. And they would be gatelisted(no pass fee). Lori Wilson will be at the workshop on Saturday. the 4th
