Hullo I just stumbled into tribe.net I've got a website for sharing ideas for booths, tents, displays, signs, and storage for merchants at historic-themed events. historicgames.com/merchideas/index2.html

    Very cool!
My booths, other than the EZ-up, are entirely constructed from recycled pallets and assorted trash. Unfortunately we haven't figured out a way to make the carts flod down to nothing so I can fit them in my car!
One of my friends keeps talking about creating EZ-up COstumes, but hasn't gotten around to actually doing the math and making one.

Here's a couple other merchants' groups I haven't added to the links of the ideas site

Ren faire Merchants "a open discussion list for merchants on the renaissance circuit. " groups.yahoo.com/group/ren...merchants/

In case there's any cross-over merchants around here's an SCA merchants' Yahoo group "To share experiences making and selling in the SCA community." groups.yahoo.com/group/sca_merchants/

Both are fairly low volume so they won't clog your mailbox with discussions.

I hate the way yahoo sends out an email for every single comment, when one is in a group there.

I can't keep up with the stuff that comes into my inbox as it is. I prefer reading stuff on tribe. *MUCH* easier to deal with.

You can always go "no email" on any Yahoo group and read the archives. No clutter, no mess.

Yeah, if you use the tiny "edit membership" link for the Yahoo group you're in it will lead you to a page that offers these options:
            # Individual emails - Receive individual messages.
            # Daily digest - Receive a daily compilation of many emails in one message.
            # Special notices - Receive only important email notices from the group moderator.
            # No email - I'll read messages on the web site.
